Abrar's Psycho Blog

Lindsay Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 in New York City. She began her illustrious career as a ford model at the age of 3!! Then she would appear in many commercials until she finally got her chance at the big screen in 1996, when she played Ali Fowler from the tv hit "Another World." Lindsay movie the Parent Trap earned her widespread acclaim. She won the young actress award along with many other awards for her role. Then she returned to the TV world, and then tried out singing in 2001, but she wasn't going to turn her back on the Big Screen. So she stared in Freaky Friday and many others.

Then one day Lindsay Lohan decided to make it public that she had an eating disorder. She admitted to having bulimia. Basically eating little helpings of food, and then vomiting after she was done eating. One expert believes that this story will make viewers more sympathetic towards Lindsay, thus attracting more viewers. So she believed this would be a positive effect on her career. Just for the fact that people wanted to sympathize her. In reality, this has a somewhat of a negative impact on her career because people viewed her in a negative way now.

Honestly I believe bulimia is one of the most repulsive things in a girl. Its ok to be self-conscious somtimes some people take it over the edge. I think its a really dumb disorder because people think whatever they want and you can't control what they think. But if you let someone's perspective about you affect you that much, then you will end up doing something dumb, which is a perfect example of what Lindsay Lohan did. She had it all, and now she's about to throw it all away.

I like it and thought it was good. You should probably phrase your commentary better(like changing the word dumb to something else), but it was really great overall!

I would give you a 95 :)

i thought bulimia was when they eat a ton at a time and then throw it up, i could be wrong though. i agree with amanda, but i do share some of the same thoughts as you on the issue. not bad! i'd give you a 90.

I kinda agree with Chris, i thought being Bulimic meant you ate a lot of food and you make yourself throw up. But good commentary though. I'd give you a 90.

It was interesting to read about, and I was going to talk about her too! Haha, I agree with Chris and Natasha though. I'd give you 95.

I pretty much agree with everyone else. Lindsey Lohan should've been happy with the way she was before she became bulimic. I thought it was interesting how you talked about her eating disorder rather than her drug addiction - you rarely hear anything about it anymore! Good job! I do think you should've phrased some of your sentences better...I'd give you a 92.

Hey Abrar, didn't even realize you were in the same Psych class as me!
Anyway, it was a great article. Your description of Lohan was very informative, though the punctuation could improve. I think this should get a 95. Great work!

Very honest. Lindsay Lohan is an on going subject of trouble. Have you heard the news lately? I think you may have tried to make a point that celebrities do these things to themselves for attention, but i couldn't really grasp that.

I thought that you could've phrased your thoughts a bit better. Also, in the first paragraph you switch tenses. I kinda agree with Chris and Natasha too although I am not sure. I just remember recently reading an article that talked about bulimia as being a disorder in which people eat a lot and then through up. I love your last paragraph though. Your thoughts on the issue made it bery interesting. Overall, it was great!!

I like how you have a voice in your post rather than shooting facts. Although I don't think she completely had Bulimia. Good job all the same.

You're right that people shouldn't be so self-conscious about their appearance. Actors and actresses should really think about what their doing before wanting to get all of that attention.
Great job!

Adding your personal thoughts on the issue was a good touch, but I feel that you could have phrased what you were thinking in a more scholarly tone. Other than that, you made some really interesting points, and you did include the wrong definition of bulima, but it was a good blog on a caprious celebrity!

I though your post was pretty good. Provided a good summary of her career and good commentary on her eating disorder. Maybe could have been better on phrasing the last paragraph, but overall, it was good.
